Event Description

Classroom Management (for Prevention Staff)

The workshop is designed for classroom guests who provide prevention education in schools and community-based settings.  Content includes an overview of leading classroom management techniques and strategies; key information to gather from regular classroom educators; diversionary discipline interventions that empower students and model problem solving; and ways to balance respect, motivation and discipline. The process will be a mix of information and informal practice.

All EXISTING direct care staff are required to attend 15 hours of continued education trainings by the end of FY10. This training is designed to complete 12 hours of that requirement.

Coordinated Training Services (CTS) reserves the right to cancel any training for which a minimum of five (5) participants have not pre-registered within 10 days prior to the training.
