WEBINAR: Tuberculosis: What Every Counselor Should Know
Course Description
By the end of this course, participants will be able to define tuberculosis (TB) and explain how it is transmitted; distinguish differences between TB infection and TB disease and describe global, national and local trends related to tuberculosis. They will also be able to identify multiple links between HIV/AIDS, substance use and tuberculosis and discuss developments in testing, treatment and prevention. This training also examines how counselors can help their clients who may have TB and how they can protect themselves from infectious tuberculosis.

Alcohol & Drug - Related credits will be provided for participants
who complete the entire training. However, no partial credit will be
given for incomplete courses. Certificates of Completion will be
awarded to participants at the end of the training. Continuing
Education Units are provided for Licensed Chemical Dependency
Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors and Social Workers.
Sponsors may apply for other types of credits.
