Event Description
Course Description
By the end of this course, participants will be able to utilize assessments to build motivation and inform the development of an individualized treatment plan for clients. They will also be able to develop an individualized treatment plan, including appropriate goals, objectives, and strategies/action steps that address client needs. Finally, participants will be able to identify ways to follow-up with clients regarding their treatment plans and implement strategies to keep clients engaged in the treatment process. This training is based upon SAMSHA’s Treatment Improved Protocol 35, and reviews a model for treatment planning based upon the principles of Motivational Interviewing.
CEU Credit
7 Alcohol & Drug -Specific credits will be provided for participants who complete the entire training. However, no partial credit will be given for incomplete courses. Certificates of Completion will be awarded to participants at the end of the training. Continuing Education Units are provided for Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors and Social Workers. Sponsors may apply for other types of credits.
