Event Description

Course Description
 
By the end of this course, participants will be able to define and identify the principles and values of case management and the role of an HEI Case Manager. They will also be able to implement skills related to preparing for and assessing a client in order to create a coordinated service plan. Finally, participants will identify the challenges and benefits of coordinating care, monitoring client progress and quality assurance measures related to case management. This training intends to provide case managers with transferable skills so they can better serve clients with substance use, HIV/AIDS, mental health and other related challenges.

3.5 Alcohol & Drug- Specific and 3.5 Alcohol and Drug- Related credits will be provided for participants who complete the entire training. However, no partial credit will be given for incomplete courses. Certificates of Completion will be awarded to participants at the end of the training. Continuing Education Units are provided for Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors and Social Workers. Sponsors may apply for other types of credits.
