Strategic Prevention Framework Overview: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

This training teaches the five steps of the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) – assessment, capacity, planning, implementation, and evaluation - and how coalitions can utilize the SPF to achieve successful community initiatives. Participants will learn to identify key milestones and products, the importance of baseline data, and community readiness as critical aspects of the SPF to achieve ultimate coalition success. 1.5-3hrs.

Strategic Prevention Framework Needs Assessment: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

This training will provide instruction on step one of the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF). Participants of this training will develop skills to conduct assessment as part of the SPF process. Instruction will include how to create and maintain an epidemiological workgroup and how to identify data sources in the community and collect data. 1.5-3 hours
