Details for "Standard Precautions"
Course Description
By
the end of this course, participants will be able to define standard
precautions, identify the routes of transmission for various communicable diseases,
and identify the common procedures that can prevent the spread of communicable
disease. Participants will also discuss risk for communicable disease in the
field of HIV and addictions counseling, identify proper post-exposure protocol,
and list workplace rights and responsibilities related to standard precautions.
CEU Credit
3 Alcohol & Drug -Related credits will be provided for participants who complete the entire training. However, no partial credit will be given for incomplete courses. Certificates of Completion will be awarded to participants at the end of the training. Continuing Education Units are provided for Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors and Social Workers. Sponsors may apply for other types of credits.
