Details for "Tuberculosis: What Every Counselor Should Know"
Course Description
By
the end of this course, participants will be able to define tuberculosis (TB)
infection and TB disease and explain the differences between them, explain how
TB is transmitted, describe efforts to control the spread of TB, identify the
difficulties facing those with drug-resistant TB, and be able to describe the
link between HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. This training also provides a global,
national, and local perspective on TB. It also examines how counselors can help
their clients who may have TB and how they can protect themselves from
infectious tuberculosis.
CEU Credit
3 Alcohol & Drug -Related credits will be provided for participants who complete the entire training. However, no partial credit will be given for incomplete courses. Certificates of Completion will be awarded to participants at the end of the training. Continuing Education Units are provided for Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors and Social Workers. Sponsors may apply for other types of credits.
