Details for "Verbal Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior"
Course Description
By
the end of this course, participants will be able to identify some
common causes of aggression in clients and discuss how VPMAB, as a risk
management approach, can help manage aggressive behavior that could not
otherwise have been anticipated. Participants will also identify the
principles of VPMAB, and implement a communication strategy in order to
manage potentially aggressive behavior. This training has been modified
from the Management of Aggressive Behavior curriculum developed by
Larry Hampton for an MHMR setting. This training focuses on the verbal,
rather than physical, ways to prevent and manage aggressive behavior
with clients.
