One of the "driving factors" for Benjamin Gleason is an interest in Social Justice.
He served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA Volunteer in Richmond, CA, helping high school students develop and implement community service projects. Benjamin loves seeing "at risk" students gain valuable leadership skills, graduate from high school, and attend college! He become a teacher and returned to Richmond, CA, where he was constantly motivated and inspired by students. The desire to be a more competent teacher led Benjamin to study Spanish in Guatemala, where he ended up teaching at a private school/language center, and at a university. Now, Benjamin is back in California with business partner Marcus Bouligny at the Prospectus Group. Prospectus is committed to ensuring that organizations (both non-profit, and for-profit) have the proper tools and guidance necessary to help their communities flourish. Prospectus started in the substance abuse prevention field, but is honored to provide Training and Technical Assistance to those outside this sector. |
